Ayutthaya Train Station is located over the river from the city. Take a taxi or Tuk Tuk over the bridge. Ayutthaya is only just over an hour from Bangkok although you may be waiting outside Bangkok for a while longer to allow for trains returning from this northern line. Train 9 departs in the morning and is a comfortable ride with food service and air-conditioning. The food is very tasty and the seats are reasonably large. You need to be at Bangkok station a bit earlier to book a ticket to Ayutthaya. Short rides cannot be booked in advance. Ayutthaya Accommodation
